NAS Whiting Field Archery Range

The NAS Whiting Field Archery Range is a great place to learn the art of Archery and enjoy a day out with friends and family. In addition, there is a wide array of activities, such as shooting a rifle, participating in a Disc Golf tournament, or taking an Off-base trip.

Disc Golf

If you're looking for a disc golf course that will satisfy your thirst for adrenaline, you'll love the one at NAS Whiting Field. Located just north of the West Gate entrance, this course is open from sunrise to sunset and offers golf balls on site, as well as a driving range. There are even rental clubs available. It's a great way to enjoy a quick game before or after work, or a leisurely afternoon with the family.

Another thing you'll find at NAS Whiting Field is a fancy-looking, multi-million-dollar gym. It's open to all DoD personnel and is open Monday through Friday from 0430 to 2100. It's also available on weekends from 0800 to 1600. You can expect all of the bells and whistles of a typical gym, including a large assortment of cardio and strength training equipment.

Archery

The Archery Range is located at Whiting Field NAS N in Milton, Florida. It is open from April through October. It offers short and long ranges for all ages. The Wooded Park Area is another fun place to visit at NAS Whiting Field. It is located south of the marina boathouse. It is an outdoor space where you can do fishing, camping, and more. You can make reservations for individual sites or for a group of up to 45 people. There are also some primitive tent camping sites. It requires you to register, but once you have registered you can enjoy all that the Wooded Park Area has to offer.

Shooting Range

The NAS Whiting Field Archery Range is located in Milton, Florida. It's near the East Gate. It has a lot to offer including a well-equipped archery shop and a few shooting ranges. There is a "fan" station, where four positions are lined up side by side, and a walk-up shooting range with four targets. Off-base Trips and Activities

There are several off-base trips and activities at NAS Whiting Field. These trips and activities help active-duty military members and their families enjoy the outdoors. These are arranged by the NSAA LIBERTY program.

This program is designed to provide access to programs, equipment, and services that improve the quality of life for DoD personnel and retirees. These programs and activities are also available to civilians and contractors. Depending on the location, the eligibility may vary. Guests must be authorized by the commanding officer.

Whiting Park is a recreational area that features five pavilions for rent. These pavilions are located near Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach, and the Naval Aviation Museum. Those who wish to rent the pavilions must make a reservation at least a year in advance. These reservations require written approval from the commanding officer. A $5 guest fee is required for each person visiting the pavilion.

NSAA LIBERTY Program

The NSAA LIBERTY program at Whiting Field Archery Range in Milton, Florida may not be the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to military recreation. However, this 11,000-square-foot facility has some very cool and very well-rounded amenities. For instance, there is a full-sized bowling alley, an interlinked Big Boy game box, and some very impressive massage chairs. The best part is that you don't have to be a member of the service to take advantage of all these goodies. This ain't the only good thing about this new and improved facility.

There are also several programs to choose from if you are the type who likes to get out and about. This includes the aforementioned NSAA LIBERTY program as well as the Naval Air Station Whiting Field MWR, which is a centralized location for all things military and outdoor-related. Check it out here
