Plaza De Luna Memorial Monument

The Splash Fountain is a beautiful addition to the Plaza De Luna Memorial Monument Florida. In the center of the fountain is a large statue of Don Tristan de Luna, the famous Spanish conquistador. In the background is a replica of the Spanish fortress that he helped found in 1514. There are several other attractions at this attraction, including the statues of Don Tristan and Dona Ana. The Plaza de Luna, located on the south end of the Palafox Pier, was recently reopened. The park is closed until further notice due to damage from Hurricane Sally. The statue and splash pad are currently closed, and visitors should be aware of barricades. The area was extensively damaged by the 2005 hurricane, which caused damage to many waterfront parks and structures. This beautiful memorial to the General is one of the highlights of the Pensacola community's vibrant Mexican culture.


A new monument commemorating the Spanish conquistador has recently been unveiled at the plaza. The statue is a life-size bronze statue that stands proudly overlooking the water. The sculpture features the flag of the King of Spain. Granite pavers surround the statue. The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony to pay their respects to the men and women who made this city great. The remembrance of their legacy will be remembered in a lasting way.


The Plaza de Luna Memorial Monument Florida is an excellent place to enjoy the beauty of the Gulf Coast. It is situated on the southern end of Palafox Pier. The fountain and splash pad were destroyed by Hurricane Sally. However, the statue and splash pad remain closed until further notice. Architects have been responsible for the design and construction of the monument. The museum also hosts many cultural events. The Plaza de Luna is a great place to spend a day. The Plaza de Luna is set around a central driving circle and features 40-56 parking spaces, including 4 handicapped spaces. There is a fountain courtyard with interactive water jets, as well as a 1,800-foot promenade. The monument also has an amphitheater for performances. The event is free and open to the public.
