Bubba Watson has made it a point to support the Pensacola golf community and help provide local golfers with quality instruction. He recently purchased the Summit driving range and renamed it Pensacola Golf Center, reflecting his love for his hometown.

Scenic Hills Country Club
A storied Pensacola country club, Scenic Hills Country Club, is adjacent to the University of West Florida. The university purchased Scenic Hills Country Club in 2012 through Business Enterprises, Inc. (BEI), a subsidiary organization that builds and manages public-private partnerships for the university.
During the purchase, BEI hired an outside consulting firm to assess Scenic Hills and its facilities. The consulting firm reportedly found the course to be operating at a loss and had a high risk of not recovering its costs in the future.
With the help of the consulting firm, BEI was able to make recommendations regarding how to operate the property. These include a review of the fee structure and the development of a transition plan for the club.
Despite the challenges, the new owners of Scenic Hills have made improvements to both the golf course and clubhouse. Residents of the neighborhood and club members alike are pleased with the changes. Up next is Pensacola State College
Stonebrook Golf Club
Originally started in 1989, Stonebrook Golf Club began developing a community in the mostly undeveloped area of Pace. The rolling terrain of mid-Santa Rosa County, crisscrossed by Beal Creek was ideal for golf.
