Southern Raceway Tracks

Southern Raceway is one of the most popular race tracks in the area. It has a variety of events, from Vintage, Stinger, Ladies League, and even a round of the Battle at the Beach. With a full schedule of races each month, you're sure to find something to suit your taste.

Ladies League

The Ladies League at Southern Raceway is a great way to spend an afternoon in the South Carolina sun. They also host a slew of IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman 602 Late Models, and vintage cars. They are also home to the UMP Open Wheel Modified, the NeSmith Street Stock, and the pure stock if you can believe it. This is one of the top dirt tracks in the country and it will be hard to beat the track for value for your buck. The best part is that their schedule is flexible so you can go out of town and come back for some quality racing action. 

The United Sprint Car Series will start its 26th anniversary season by returning to Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida. The two-night speed contest will be held on May 14-15. In addition to the United Sprint Car Series, the Southern 600 mini sprints will also be in attendance. The event will feature heat races, qualifying, and a 30-lap feature. Several sprint car drivers from at least six states are expected to participate.

Southern Raceway is a 3/8-mile dirt oval that hosts late models, sprints, and vintage racing. In addition, the track also hosts IMCA Modifieds and Open Wheel Modifieds. The facility features terraced areas, lawn chairs, and coolers for spectators. It is hosted by Tom Lowery. The track is free to enter, but parking is available for a fee.

Vintage

The vintage Southern Raceway in Milton, FL is a three-eighths-mile dirt track that harks back to the days of yore. Featuring four classes, the track offers a variety of options for the racing enthusiast.

The track, which has been around for nearly two decades, hosts races in the Pure Stock, UMP Open Wheel Modified, and Sportsman 602 late models. Aside from the usual fare, the track also hosts a ladies' league and sprints. There is even a play area for children. In addition, the track boasts an excellent and free parking lot. The gate opens at 4 p.m. and the races start at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish to catch a little more action, the track also hosts a Sprint Car series and a mini-series.

NeSmith 602 Late Model

The NeSmith 602 Late Model will be on track at Southern Raceway on Saturday, July 18 for the first time in its history. The division will be featured in the $ 10,000-to-win Possum Town Grand Prix. The event is also the last night of the season.

NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock will also be competing on the track for a $ 2,000-to-win prize. The division will also be contested for Weekly point fund positions. The top 14 point totals from each weekly event will be ranked and will compete for a National point fund. The division will be comprised of drivers from Mississippi, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas.

Battle at the Beach Round 2

The United Sprint Car Series is back at Southern Raceway for two nights of speedy fun. It's a two versus one affair on the weekend of May 14-15. Those looking to take a break from the track can head for the beach or a much more sedate excursion to the mainland. It's also the harbinger of the annual Daytona Beach Speed Week. Unlike past editions, the rescheduled event will run a full program for the first time since 2006.

The most exciting aspect of the show is the sheer volume of competition. With the exception of the aforementioned snubs, a healthy crop of drivers from the Southeast and beyond is set to hit the track in force. Not to mention a slew of seasoned veterans vying for their shot at a ring of nitro.
