Children’s Museum

In a historic downtown setting, the Pensacola FL Port Authority Children’s Museum offers a variety of hands-on exhibits that are fun for kids and adults. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The museum has two floors, each filled with interactive exhibits. They focus on more than 450 years of military, multicultural, and Native American history.

There are plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained, including a train set, a reading nook, and an array of exhibits about local industries. There is even a Junior Mariners play area that encourages imagination.

Sam’s Fun City

If you’re looking for a fun place to take the kids, head to Sam’s Fun City. This Gulf Coast attraction is home to more than 20 rides and attractions, including go-karts, bumper boats, water slides, mini golf, and laser tag.

The park also offers its own waterpark, Sam’s Surf City, with 12 waterslides and a 750-foot-long water river. Guests can purchase a “surf and turf” ticket that includes both the amusement park and the waterpark, or pay for admission separately.

The park’s batting cages, arcade, and roller coaster are fun for all ages, but if you’re looking for a real thrill, there’s the Tornado, Pensacola’s only roller coaster. It’s a great way to feel like a kid again while riding down a twisted, looping, high-speed track. 

Perdido Kids Park

Located a short drive from the city, this local park is an excellent place to bring your kids. It has a nice play area, nature trail, restrooms, and picnic tables.

This park is a great place to take your kids for an afternoon of fun. The play area is large and has lots of different things to do.

There is also a pirate ship, lighthouse, and Blue Angels planes.

The park is handicap accessible and there is a lot of space for parking and picnics. The playground is also well-fenced for your children to run around and explore.
