The Northwest Florida Speedway is located in Southwest Florida. It is a track that is well-known in the racing industry. Here are some things you should know about the track, such as the owners and the layout of the track.

About Northwest Florida Speedway

The Northwest Florida Speedway is a quaint little quarter-mile track located in a sleepy little town on the Florida panhandle. It is actually a very small-scale operation with a grand total of seven employees. As you can imagine, the facility is not exactly a money maker and that is precisely what the proprietors are trying to avoid. Nonetheless, the venue is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The track is a good old-fashioned dirt oval and is surprisingly spacious for a midsize track. For a mere $10 admission you can enjoy a day of action-packed thrills. Unlike the typical track of its ilk, the venue is a family-friendly affair. The facilities are equipped with a well-stocked concession stand and a family-friendly concession area, ensuring that everyone gets what they need. The facility also has a mini-shopping mall that is a veritable cornucopia of bargains. For more info on the facility, you can visit the website below.

Track Layout

The track layout at Northwest Florida Speedway is a small oval in the rural town of Blackman, Florida. It is about a mile long and has a total purse of $7,500. It hosts a variety of racing events, including IMCA Mods, Sportsman, Slingshots, Bomber, and Stinger.

Despite its small size, the track has a couple of unique features. One is the multi-level front stretch grandstands. Another is a dogleg in the backstretch. The track is also home to the largest pit area of any of its classes. The facility is undergoing renovations, but it is still open for business. A new slew of sponsors is taking the place of old stalwarts, and the new owners, Cody and Kevin McConnell are looking to upgrade the place. Next article

For those whose interests lie in speed, the track is well worth the drive. The track itself is a banked dirt oval about a quarter mile in length. Although the track itself is small, it offers plenty of room for the big boys to move around.
